Cox Media Group has ended The Mark Kaye Show — which aired from noon-3 PM — on its news/talk stations around the nation.

In a memo to staffers obtained by Barrett News Media, Cox Media Group Jacksonville Vice President and Market Manager Jimmy Farrell said “Earlier today we let Mark Kaye know that we’re no longer continuing with The Mark Kaye Show. The show’s last airing was today. Moving forward, we’re excited to transition to The Erick Erickson Show weekdays from 12 – 3 PM.”

Like Mark Kaye, Erickson’s show originates from a Cox Media Group station, 95.5 WSB in Atlanta.

Kaye’s program — based in Jacksonville on 104.5 WOKV — was heard on Cox Media Group stations in Dayton, Tulsa, and Augusta, among others. The show was launched into national syndication as a replacement for stations that had previously aired Rush Limbaugh in the noon-3 PM timeslot.

On social media, Kaye teased a “new era” of the program “begins soon.” In addition to his nationally syndicated radio show, the host also featured a video simulcast on YouTube, which currently holds more than 30,000 subscribers.

I listened to WOKV for hours each day to catch Mark’s show. I guess I need a new station now until he starts streaming or whatever. I’m not sure why they want to turn away listeners like that.

I’m conservative and enjoyed most of Mark’s commentary–but his parroting of Kremlin lies about Ukraine was pretty annoying. Whether he did it knowingly, or simply accepted Tucker Carlson’s “redistribution”, it was a point-by-point duplication of Russian propaganda.

Bob and Kelli Phillips have hosted Texas Country Reporter for decades before hosting their final show Sunday. Now, they’ll take a new show and podcast to KRLD in Dallas.

The new Texas lifestyle and storytelling program — On the Road with Kelli & Bob — will begin on the Audacy-owned all-new station on Sunday, June 2nd, and will be heard from 2-3 PM. The show will also be available throughout the state and a podcast of the program will be available on the Audacy app.

“We’ve been telling stories across Texas for almost 50 years and did not know how other people from other states would embrace us calling in and asking to tell their stories,” Bob Phillips told the Houston Chronicle. “While doing so, we have had a great response and have heard a common thread among everyone we talk to. When we approach them, we say we like to tell positive, uplifting stories about people doing great things — and what we hear the most is ‘Good, we need more of that in the world.’”

The husband and wife duo sold their long-running Texas Country Reporter show in December 2021, and stayed on until a new host was found. J.B. Sauceda will host the newest season of the program, the 53rd in its history, when the program resumes in September.

Erick Erickson has never been shy about his original disdain for former President Donald Trump. And while he is often mocked for his views on the cult-like figure, he’s comfortable in his stance.

In a post on social media, Erick Erickson argued that his place in the conservative media landscape isn’t affected by his beliefs or views, despite the pushback from those both in media and in politics.

“I have become the object of scorn for some on the right who think we are in a post-constitutional order in need of a dictatorship to bend the nation in our direction,” Erickson wrote. “I’m okay with being the object of scorn from morons.”

I have become the object of scorn for some on the right who think we are in a post-constitutional order in need of a dictatorship to bend the nation in our direction. I'm okay with being the object of scorn from morons.

In an era in news/talk radio that has seen many hosts rise in prominence for their support of former President Trump, Erickson has taken the opposite approach and has found as much or more success than others in the genre. His nationally syndicated program, which originates from 95.5 WSB in Atlanta, is now heard on dozens of stations across the nation.

As the trial against former President Donald Trump (R) continues, Salem Radio Network host Dr. Sebastian Gorka is in New York to report on the happenings during The Mike Gallagher Show.

On Tuesday morning, Gorka was joined by Rep. Troy Nehls (R-TX), Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-TX), and Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick in a show of support for the former President.

Sebastian Gorka served in the Trump White House as Deputy Assistant to the President and Strategist. However, he departed the White House after seven months a week after Steve Bannon exited.

Gorka — who has called the proceedings against the former President a “kangaroo court” — will report on the latest events of the trial during the nationally syndicated Mike Gallagher Show, which like Gorka’s America First program, airs on the Salem Radio Network.
