I've tried using Airlink before and it worked fine. Now whenever I try it I get three dots for 10 minutes and then it crashes and goes back to the regular oculus home screen. I've tried turning off my firewall, reinstalling the oculus app, factory resetting the headset, updating my graphics drivers, and everything else I have seen tried online. Nothing seems to be working so any help would be appreciated.

Hey there, @Me.Meats. We appreciate you reaching out and letting us know the troubles you're having with using Airlink. We know how inconvenient something like this can be, and we would like to lend a hand to figure this out. So we can gain a bit more insight, can you answer a few questions for us?

Does the Quest 2 work without the Airlink, or is this a product resulting from the Airlink?

Have you also done a repair on the Airlink? If not, here is how:

  • In Quest 2
    1. Navigate to the Settings menu
    2. Ensure "Air Link" is disabled/toggled off

Restart both the Quest 2 and the PC, and re-pair the Quest 2 to the PC following the set-up steps in the public article, "Connect Meta Quest 2 to your PC with Air Link."

Hi there, @Me.Meats. Thank you for reaching back out and letting us know that you're still having troubles with your Airlink. We would like to provide some troubleshooting steps that we believe may be beneficial to you.

Please do the following, but first do the cloud backup.

To perform a factory reset using your phone:

Open the Meta Quest app on your phone.
Tap Devices in the bottom menu.
Tap the headset connected to your phone.
Tap Advanced Settings.
Tap Factory Reset and then Reset.


To perform a factory reset using the headset:

Turn off your headset.
Hold the power and volume (-) button on your headset down simultaneously until the boot screen loads on your headset.
Use the volume buttons on your headset to highlight Factory Reset and press the power button.
Use the volume buttons on your headset to highlight Yes and press the power button.


To restart your headset:

With your headset on and powered on, press and hold the power button on the right side of your headset until you see the Power off screen.

Select Restart. Your headset will turn off and then turn back on.

If you're unable to restart your headset,

Press and hold the power button for at least 10 seconds. This will manually turn off your headset.

Wait 30 seconds.

Press and hold the power button until your headset turns back on.

If your issues persist, please let us know. We are looking forward to your reply.

I factory reset the headset, deleted the app on my phone and my pc, I also went completely through my computer and deleted everything oculus related. Still have the 3 dots infinitely loading forever.

bonjour j'ai le meme probleme, j'ai tout essaye, jusqu'a la restauration a l'etat d'usine du casque et du pc... Trouvez une solution s'il vous plait, a chaque fois que je veux me servir du casque, il y a un probleme. Je passe plus de temps a essayer de le faire fonctionner qu'a m'en servir. Cela devient penible...

Hi again @Me.Meats, seeing as you are still having this issue, can you let us know of the following:

  • What are your PC specs?
  • Does repairing the Oculus PC app help?
  • Can you try another network like a mobile hotspot?
  • Is your integrated graphics card disabled and the dedicated card is the only one enabled?
  • Is your power setting set to the highest performance?
    • If you need assistance with this, please let us know.
  • Can you try resetting your router or modem?
  • Try checking the headset for any updates.
  • Can you check to see if PTC is enabled?
  • Does the same think happens if you use the Link Cable?

Nous voulons être certains que vous puissiez profiter pleinement de votre appareil Meta. Pour cela, nous vous demandons de vérifier toutes ces suggestions pour améliorer votre configuration de connexion à AirLink :

- Assurez-vous que votre Meta Quest et votre PC sont sur le même réseau WiFi. (en 5GHz actif et non en 2.4.)

- Nous recommandons de connecter le PC au routeur via un câble Ethernet.

- Le routeur doit être situé à au moins 1m du sol et dans la même pièce que le casque ou en vue directe.

- Votre routeur WiFi doit supporter les protocoles 802.11n, 11ac ou 11ax.

- Vérifiez que la carte graphique dispose des derniers pilotes et que Windows dispose de la dernière mise à jour.

Si vous utilisez un ordinateur portable, assurez-vous que votre carte graphique intégrée n'est pas renseignée en tant que carte principale car celle-ci n'est probablement pas supportée (https://www.meta.com/fr-fr/help/quest/articles/headsets-and-accessories/oculus-link/meta-quest-link-...).
